We would like to introduce you to Leo! He is our new Lionhead rabbit who has joined us at Stecher's Country Store! Saved from an animal shelter, he is two years old, very curious, friendly, and absolutely loves people!
It all started with a dream... Vicki woke up in the middle of night with an epiphany. We need a rabbit! After searching and searching, she couldn't find anything. All the rabbits she found were already spoken for. Then, while on a trip to the vet for our golden retriever, there he was! There was Leo sitting on the counter looking for a new home! They rescued him from an animal shelter hoping to give Leo one more chance, and to try and find him a new home. We snatched him up that day! How could you not?? He's adorable right!?
We wanted his new home to be a heaven for him. Inspired by a bird cage from Greystone Aviaries and a wooden walkway from Katy Elliot, his cage is located in our greenhouse. It was built by Vicki, Jonathan and Christian out of all recycled materials. The wood for the frame and boxes, from our salvaging trip, the wooden slices are courtesy of Mark and the moss was dug up by Amber from our yard.
